With her MRCPCH qualification from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and her extensive training and work experience in various prestigious medical institutions, she brings a comprehensive understanding of paediatric care to her patients in Pune
Our Story
Dr. Sheetal Kakade practices as a consultant pediatrician in Pune, India. She completed her MBBS from Pravara Medical Trust’s Rural Medical College in Loni and her DCH from HBT Medical College and Dr. RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai. She is also a member of the Mumbai College of Physicians and Surgeons. She passed the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) MRCPCH (Part-1A & 1B) examination in June 2019.
Dr. Kakade has an abundance of experience in pediatrics. From May to August 2019, she served as a Clinical Observer in the Department of Paediatrics at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. From October 2016 until September 2018, she served as a Junior Resident in the Department of Paediatrics at HBT Medical College & Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai. From February 2015 to July 2015, she worked as a House Officer in the department of Anaesthesiology at ESI Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research in Mumbai, and from June 2008 to May 2014, she served as a Resident Medical Officer at the Pune Municipal Corporation in Pune.
Dr. Sheetal Kakade has attended a number of workshops and training programmes. In June 2018, she attended the ‘Neonatal Ventilation Workshop’ at Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital in Mumbai, and in February 2018, she attended the ‘Paediatric Ventilation Workshop’ at Surya Children’s Hospital in Mumbai. In September 2017, she also attended the ’14th Infectious Disease Certificate Course’ at PD Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre in Mumbai. She attended the State Tuberculosis Training & Demonstration Centre (STDC) of Pune’s ‘Directly Observed Treatment Short Course Strategy (DOTS) PLUS against drug resistant TB’ training programme in 2012.
Dr. Kakade presented a poster titled ‘Isovaleric acidemia: a case report’ at the Indian Academy of Paediatrics’ 20th Annual Conference in Mumbai (EMBICON) 2018. She has also attended a number of conferences, including the 1st Annual Conference of the Maharashtra Rheumatology Association (MRACON) in Pune in 2018 and the National CME on ‘Infections & Rheumatic Diseases’ at PD Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre in Mumbai in August 2017. In July 2017, she attended the Immunology Symposium ‘Life At War: Series 3- B cell disorders- To ‘B’ or not to ‘B’ at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai, and in March 2017, she attended the CME on ‘Needle-stick Injuries’ at HBT Medical College & Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai.
